Port of Ness is located in the North of the island approximately 25 miles from Stornoway. Ness is a popular community with a sports centre featuring ten pin bowling, two local shops, a sports and social club, an award winning playpark and several beautiful beaches all within minutes of the house.
With regular flights and ferries from the mainland, the Isle of Lewis is very accessible. Daily flights to Stornoway are available from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness. Frequent ferries sail from Ullapool to Stornoway and from Uig to Isle of Harris. City Link operates a ferry service connection bus between Inverness and Ullapool.
From Stornoway to Port of Ness the main road is the A857, approximately 25 miles (40 mins by car). There is a regular bus service. A local taxi service is also available.
